Our next stop was a visit to
Azuaje, courtesy of our dear leader. This nature reserve is located within the Forest of Doramas, in the north of the island. Sadly, the
balneario, which belongs to Rafa's family, is now in ruins, but it used to be a favourite haven from the harsh winters for northern Europeans in the late C19th, as well as being a romantic hideaway for local honeymooners.
